Have you seen those glitters people make? Like this:

They are so sparkly! Well, I'm going to show you how to make your own on GIMP. For this tutorial, I will use this image:

First of all, start up GIMP. Make a new image with a transparent background, making sure it's the right size, then on your keyboard press Ctrl and v at the same time to paste it into the image. To make the background transparent, when you make a new image click advanced options, then change fill with to transparency. Now select your magic wand tool
Now select the background and press the delete key. This makes the background transparent.
Now, still using your magic wand, click on all the parts you want to glitter. Hold down the shift button so you can select more than one. Here is how it should look:

Time to add some glitter! Now go to filter-->noise-->hsv noise

and change the settings to how you want it(look at the preview box to see what it will look like).

Now open your layer box thing. If you can't see it go to dialogues-->create new dock-->layers, channels and paths. Then make a new layer(see screenshot)

Now paste your image again. Cut out the background again. Now, on your layer box, click this:

Now, select the same parts, and go and glitter them, but don't make every value the same, or it wont glitter. Now go to file-->save as-->and save it as whatever you like, but put .gif on the end. Now it comes up with this:

Now you're done! One nice, sparkly glitter!!
