Are you a Newbie, or n00b?
A n00b is someone who is very annoying and is rarely shown respect. They gain the name "n00b" ,most commonly by begging or being annoying through NeoMail or the NeoBoards. They often beg for items, and are usually new to neopets. A Newbie is someone who is new to neopets. That's all. Not all newbies are n00bs.
Are you a Newbie who want to prevent yourself from being a n00b? Or have you already earned the name n00b and wish to get rid of it? Follow these easy tips!
- NEVER beg for items. Doing this will automatically earn you the name n00b. It's very annoying, and against the rules. You will probably get yourself reported. Neopians earn their neopoints, and items themselves by playing games.
- Don't make a thousand topics (threads) for your every question. Make one thread, and ask all your questions on there.
- Stay away from the newbie boards. Trust me. The newbies there are usually n00bs.
- Don't use chatspeak. Just chat regularly. Many people don't appreciate it. It can be annoying!
- Don't spam. To spam on neopets means to type useless junk and post it (NeoBoards) everywhere.
- Mind your own business. If someone is arguing over the NeoBoards for example, leave them be. It's their business, and they should be the ones to resolve it. :)
- Use your common sense.
Follow these tips, and you can prevent yourself from going from newbie, to n00b.
